Adding stairs to a regular loft bed also acts like a giant anchor and makes your loft more sturdy and stable.Stairs often have drawers in each step which also give you additional storage space and acts like a chest of drawers.
Loft Bed with Stairs Sizes
At Bunk Beds Canada, we offer a wide range of loft beds with stairs in different sizes. You can get twin size, double, and queen. We even offer twin or double extra long loft beds with stairs for teens or tall adults. Please note that twin and single size are the same thing and so as double versus full size. Extra long sing and extra long double size loft beds are equal length as a queen size.
Loft Bed with Stairs Quality
Our loft beds with stairs are all made of premium solid hardwood such as birch or maple. The wood we use is all knot free to ensure maximum strength. All of our lofts can hold at least 220 lb of weight. All of our lofts with stairs are rated for 400 lb and they’re tested for up to 700 lb. This means our loft beds are good for any age.
Loft Bed with Stairs Climbing
Climbing safely is the main reason to use stairs. There is no risk of climbing down as you would have on a traditional ladder. More importantly, if you have a young child - say 3 years old - it is much safer for them to crawl up and down the stairs even though they are not supposed to climb before they are six.
Loft Bed with Stairs Storage
All of our stairs have drawers in each and every step. These drawers are functional. On higher steps drawers go all the way and on lower steps they go in about 16”.
We also have a stand alone stairs, our 4900 model, which is an independent unit and you can put it beside your loft bed.
